PBN2014 – Your invitation from the National President
The Pharmacy Business Network is now well-established as one of the Guild’s most exciting initiatives ever.
For the first time, the 2014 Pharmacy Business Network event will be held in Melbourne, promising further consolidation of its growth and value to the industry. Community pharmacies in Australia are highly regarded and trusted by the public. We know that the model of pharmacy works well to provide more than 5300 healthcare hubs across the continent, serving the needs of all communities.
But such a lauded system requires nurturing and maintenance – and it also has to move with the times. Business is a volatile and fast moving field, and pharmacy owners, managers and staff all know that there will always be competition and changes to community expectations that require our businesses to evolve and improve.
We also know in 2014 that trading conditions will be tough – there are serious economic and industry trading pressures that are putting a squeeze on the viability of our businesses.
That’s why it is all the more important in these times to fine tune the business operation of community pharmacies, to help us all withstand the inevitable changes ahead.
The key for pharmacy is to reach out for and master the knowledge available. And one way to do this is through a learning interaction with colleagues and peers. This event, the PBN, is a prime way to do this, and a great opportunity for all of us in this vibrant business sector. I urge you to get involved in this event.
